OUR MISSION is to help each player learn to love the game of tennis, while helping them develop the skills needed to be successful.

Youth Tennis Programs


This 10 and under tennis programs use the USTA progression series red, orange and green dot balls for teaching.

Adult Tennis Programs


Classes are designed for beginners, intermediate, and advanced play. Selby Tennis also offers Cardio Tennis for a fun and complete workout.

Summer Tennis Camp


Junior Tennis Camp and most of the adult programs will be held at Coppermine Racquet and Fitness Club, Pikesville location.

Stringing Services


Selby Tennis provides professional quality racquet stringing service for Squash and Tennis. We also offer a Free Mobile Service for the Baltimore area.

You can improve the placement of your toss by making sure to release the ball from your fingertips rather than the palm of the hand. Place two balls in your hand but just toss the ball positioned in your fingertips.

This drill is called "Ready, Rally and Recover." It involves returning to your home base spot in the middle of the baseline after every shot to help you be prepared for the next shot.

The secret to a successful forehand is to turn your hips and upper body as one unit when you're preparing to hit the ball, rather than just moving your racquet back.
